Upcoming Focus Workshop
Autumn Still Life Painting
Celebrate the colors, textures, and beauty of autumn with a fun day of painting a large-scale, fall-inspired still life. Learn how to begin a painting with a grisaille block-in, learn approaches to working alla prima (finishing a painting in one-sitting) and capturing a unique variety of neutral colors and textures. Work independently at your own pace or follow along with Michaela’s live demonstrations as she shares her techniques and paints along-side the class. All materials are provided, so just come ready to paint and enjoy a creative day in the studio.

Morning
Live demonstration by Michaela on beginning a large-scale still life and approaching a wet-into-wet painting.Students spend all morning blocking in and painting their still life.
Noon:
30-45 min lunch break (lunch not included)Afternoon:
Continue painting the still life painting and finish with a brief recap and short critique.
