Making a good painting many times depends on having a good reference.
As you are moving through your oil painting journey, instruction is essential to help build a solid foundation of knowledge. However, practice is really what solidifies your skills.
Below, I’ve compiled a Pinterest board of some great reference images for your practice of many different subjects. Keep in mind, these are not MY images or YOUR images. I’ve selected these images because they make good references for painting practice, but they are not suitable for selling or exhibiting.
Unsplash is an online resource where you will find high quality, professional photographer images that are free to use. Another great place when looking for practice images.
